This morning I ran across a post on Houzz asking for suggestions for decorating a 12 year old boys room with an urban/city style. The first thing I thought of was what a perfect opportunity to use a either decorative metal tiles or faux leather decorative wall panels as a way to transform the room from drab to fab easily and inexpensively. But as I researched, I found so many options I can’t feature them all individually. I love the removable, easy to install, peel & stick cityscape, graffiti, & aged brick wall decals paired with just about any of the urban theme bedding. Personally, I do not mind mixing patterns but even I might stick with simpler bedding if using a graffiti themed wall art. And even after finding all these great mix and match pieces, I still love the idea of a DIY faux leather headboard to add yet another dimension to the wall. After all city life is all about layering – layering of experiences, layering of visual stimuli, and even layering of grime.
