Every year, the most popular New Years resolutions involve exercising more and eating better (I know those are two of mine).  In addition to developing a good fitness and sleep regime (think  FITBIT), it is also essential to choose more nutritious foods. And even if you really do not generally like the taste of vegetables we have been experimenting with an easy and yummy way to work veggies into your diet! Start juicing! It’s the perfect way to sneak in those veggies masked by the taste of the fruits you love!  There are so many fruit and vegetable combinations that you can make, we promise you will actually start to love and even crave these brightly colored concoctions!  Here’s what you need to get started on improving your diet. First and foremost, you will need a juicer?  And secondly a refrigerator filled with fruits & vegetables.  To take some of the work out of the process, we have put together a list of some the best juicing options and a list of a few of our favorite juicing fruits and vegetables and their benefits.

Fruits, Veggies, and Their Benefits!

 citrus fruits  green vegetables

Citruses Fruits like oranges, grapefruit, lemons and limes contain vitamin C which can help prevent colds. Lemons also release toxins from your body.

Greens Make sure you have at least one type of green in your juice! Celery helps regulate your body’s Ph balance and has a lot of potassium. Parsley contains b12 and iron. Greens like kale and spinach are the powerful ones. They carry a heavy amount of minerals and vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin C. The more color in green, the more business they mean!

 Berries  carrots

Berries These will help the taste of your juice! Blueberries and cranberries are high in antioxidants. Cranberries also have Vitamin C and fiber. Strawberries boost immunity and fight bad cholesterol.

Carrots These are sweet and contain Vitamin E! This will help with your eyes and skin. Carrots also help boot your immune system.

apples & bananas  ginger

Apples and Bananas Apples are a great way to add sweetness! I always add apples or apple juice to my smoothies. Bananas have ton of potassium which gives you energy.

Ginger  This is so good for you! Ginger helps break down foods and reduces inflammation. It improves your digestive system. It also gives you a boost of energy!
